Modeling & Simulation

Modeling & Simulation

TQI models have a precise syntax and are often best edited and viewed using a graphical tool, then embody semantics determining domain-specific concepts mapped to implementation artifacts, such as code, project structures, and configuration files. To do this we use Domain Specific Language (DSL). DSL is a small, highly focused language for solving a definable problem faced by analysts, architects, developers. Simulation is one of the most common techniques for using models to answer questions about systems. Other methods of analyzing models also exist in the restricted cases where solutions can be found in a closed analytical form, such as sensitivity analysis and analytical mathematical techniques. TQI uses Model-based diagnosis as a framework for system diagnosis to find causes of problematic and erroneous behavior. Under a set of well-defined operating conditions each element of the model can be considered to exhibit a correct behavior if certain quantities are within specified value intervals. A measured or computed value outside such an interval might indicate an element error or some external influence.

  • Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV) and Center for Naval Analysis (CNA): Conducted requirements/ business process modeling in support of OPNAV N4 and CNA as part of the Navy Logistics Solution Analysis of Alternatives (AoA).

  • Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA): Modeled and compared several concepts in the support of a Net-Enabled Command and Capability (NECC) Analysis of Multiple Concepts (AoMC) sponsored by DISA.
